Popular Punjabi actress Mandy Takhar has made her feet firm in the Punjabi film industry with her quality work in the last one decade. The actress made her debut with Babbu Maan’s film Ekam- Son Of Soil in 2010 and has played significant roles in big Punjabi films including Mirza- The Untold Story, Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22, Rabb Da Radio, Sardaarji, Ardaas, Saak and many more.

After garnering immense love with her acting performances, Mandy Takhar is now all set to wear the producer’s hat. The actress recently announced her first film as a producer. The title of the movie is Kikli. Takhar is extremely thrilled about the project and took it to her social media to share this news with her fans.

In addition to being the producer of the film, Mandy Takhar has also written the screenplay and the dialogues of the movie. This film will also mark Mandy’s debut as a film writer. Produced under the banners of Mandy Takhar Productions and JP Khaira Films, the film is being directed by Kavi Raz. The first official poster of the movie is out and is doing rounds on the internet.

The lead starcast of the film includes none other than the producer and the writer of the movie- Mandy Takhar, popular Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi the Saak fame actor Jobanpreet Singh. Mandy Takhar and Jobanpreet had shared the screen in the 2019 film Saak and recieved appreciation from the audience for their great onscreen chemistry. Mandy Takhar and Wamiqa Gabbi have also shared the silver screen in the superhit movie- Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22, and it is evident from their social media handles that both the actresses share a great offscreen bond too.

Not many details about the movie have been revealed yet. The shooting of the film has started today that is on 25 November 2020. The film will hit the screens in 2021. The team is extremely excited about the project.
