Navaniat Singh's 'Shareek' (2015), which had become an instant fan-favourite primarily due to its closeness to the reality of oodles of families of Punjab, getting a sequel after as many as seven years was always bound to generate curiosity.

With less than three weeks remaining for the release of upcoming Punjabi movie titled 'Shareek 2', fans are literally counting days for they have waited quite a long for this action-packed movie featuring Jimmy Sheirgill and Dev Kharoud at the forefront.

While the prospect of Sheirgill and Kharoud combating against each other is in itself a never-seen-before element for Punjabi fans, Shareek 2 also comprises of other skillful actors who are almost certain of contributing to the overall experience.

Meet the characters of 'Shareek 2'

Jimmy Sheirgill

Set to appear in a Punjabi movie after four years, fans couldn't have asked more than Sheirgill returning with the Shareek franchise. Playing the role of Jaswant Singh Randhawa, Sheirgill will once again be in the middle of fighting for his right in the form of land and lover.

Dev Kharoud

Coming on the back of a stellar performance in Mandeep Benipal's 'Dakuaan Da Munda 2', Kharoud appears to be in readiness of adding another feather to his cap.

Playing the role of Gurbaaz Singh Randhawa, Kharoud has already provided fans with hints in the trailer of what's in store for them in the movie on July 8. Irrespective of how the movie pans out, it wouldn't be wrong to say that there couldn't have been a better addition to the franchise on paper than Kharoud.

Sharan Kaur

All of one film old, actor Sharan Kaur playing the common love interest of Sheirgill and Kharoud in a movie of this scale speaks highly of her potential. An out and out breakout opportunity which has it in it to shape her career in the years to come, a lot will be riding on Sharan's performance in Shareek 2.

Yograj Singh

A name which neither needs an introduction nor an explanation with respect to being cast in Shareek 2, veteran actor Yograj Singh will be playing the role of Sardar Bhupinder Singh Randhawa (father of Jaswant and Gurbaaz) in the movie. However, with his death in the movie set to kick-start animosity between the two brothers, length of Yograj's character remains unknown for now.

Mukul Dev

As good as anyone in Shareek, Mukul Dev is another actor who has been retained in the second part as well. Slated to play a central character, the makers haven't revealed a lot about the same in the trailer. That being said, there are strong chances of him playing a character really close to the Randhawa kin in Shareek 2.

Sunita Dhir

Veteran actor Sunita Dhir will be seen playing the role of Bhupinder Randhawa's wife and Jaswant's mother in Shareek 2. 

Amar Noorie

Veteran singer-actor Amar Noorie will be seen playing the role of Bhupinder Randhawa's second wife and Gurbaaz's mother in Shareek 2.
