Review
Aashiqui Not Allowed revolves around Bittu (Aman Suthdar), who has a bad debt with Billu Bakra (B.N. Sharma). Billu who is the don of the area, is very furious about love and prohibits the same in his domicile. Hoping to overcome debt, Bittu suggests Billu to make a film. In the course of film making, he falls for Billu’s daughter, Hansi (Gurpreet Kaur). Learning this, Bittu plays a dirty trick to part them and succeeds. However confession by Jugnu (Gurchet Chitarkar) in the end clears the misunderstandings between the couple.
The movie is a Romantic Horror Comedy. The story here is a little over cooked, there are certain things in the movie which just go over your head and make no sense at all. However, you will enjoy the trio of B.N. Sharma, Gurchet Chitarkar and Jaswant for their comical timings. Aman Suthdar and Gurpreet Kaur have both done a fine job in the movie.
Director Rakesh Dhawan has given a decent direction to the movie. However, the screenplay by him wasn’t that smooth. The audience’s interest starts dipping as the movie heads interval. Also, he has tried to add some horror element to the movie but has terribly failed in his attempt. The music here is also average.
Overall, Aashiqui Not Allowed is an average comedy which you can enjoy in bits and pieces.
