Imminent Punjabi movie titled ‘Munda Hi Chahida’ will undeniably question an age-old opinion of not just Punjab but the whole country. Slated to release on July 12 (tomorrow), the movie seems to have it in it to leave a long-lasting impression on the society.
The trailer of the movie was released more than three weeks ago on the official YouTube channel of Jass Records. At the time of writing this article, it has received in excess of three million views on the same platform.
Munda Hi Chahida will see Harish Verma and Rubina Bajwa play the lead roles just five weeks after their previous movie in ‘Laiye Je Yaarian‘. Other than the lead pair, Munda Hi Chahida stars Jatinder Kaur, Honey Mattu, Ravinder Mand, Seema Kaushal and others.

Highlighting the concept of male pregnancy in front of the Punjabi audiences, Munda Hi Chahida faces a significant challenge. Directed by debutant directors in Santosh Subash Thite and Deepak Thaper, it would be interesting to watch their take on the concept.
That being said, what the movie will portray in the larger picture is the general age-old wish of expecting a male child. It is this unfair and unreasonable wish-cum-demand which will be confronted by Harish Verma and Rubina Bajwa on the silver screens tomorrow. Munda Hi Chahida has been produced by Neeru Bajwa, Ankit Vijan, Navdeep Narula, Gurjit Singh and Santosh Subash Thite under the banners of Neeru Bajwa Entertainment and Shri Narotam Ji Films. The movie will be the third under renowned actress Neeru Bajwa’s production house.
Munda Hi Chahida will face stiff competition from Vikas Bahl’s Hrithik Roshan-starer ‘Super 30’. Having said that, it is expected to register an above par opening at the box-office tomorrow.
