The Crown Prince of Bhangra, Jazzy B, has put forward in front of the audiences his first song of 2018, 'One Million'. The song was released yesterday on the official YouTube channel of Speed Records. At the time of writing this article, it has received in vicinity of 1.5 million views and is trending at #13 on the same platform.

His previous song, 'Bamb Gaana', was released in the first week of December and was much more than a recurrent track. Having said that, Jazzy B, to a certain degree, has disappointed us with One Million. The songs manifestly lacks intent and this time his song is more of a recurrent track.

It might be a harsh word to use for a Jazzy B song, but, One Million has it in it be a humdrum track. Audiences show a preference for something better from someone who has been entertaining them for over two decades. This song, by and large, does not stand tall on those expectations.

The song has been penned down by Singga, whose lyrics are lacklustre and fail to exert any sort of influence. A hotshot in the Punjabi music industry at the moment, DJ Flow, has directed the song musically. Like all his recent works, the music of this song is acceptable, but, only music cannot change the fortunes of a song.

In which is a film by Gurdas Media works, the music video is directed by Parth Gupta and Gurdas. The overall video is average, but something which has come as a very out-of-context commodity is the initial one minute of the video. Credit to the directors for coming up with such a concept and executing it so well for it could have easily gone rack and ruin on the screen had it not been executed well.

Having said that, I am still unearthing the purpose which it served in this song. Perhaps, something which only they can tell. It is high time that video directors make note of the verity that the modern-day audiences have evolved and thus cannot be impressed by showing anything off the subject on the screen.

If you haven't watched the music video as yet, watch it below and tell us what you think regarding the same in the comments section:
