Oye Makhna Trailer Review: Punjabi Mania present before you the full trailer review of upcoming Punjabi movie titled ‘Oye Makhna’.
Had it not been for a close to a two-month long delay, upcoming Punjabi movie titled 'Oye Makhna' would have easily released by now. First announced last year, Oye Makhna will release in cinema halls across the world on November 4.
The trailer of the movie released on the official YouTube channel of SaReGaMa Punjabi yesterday. At the time of writing this article, it has received in vicinity of three lakh views on the same platform.
Oye Makhna will be the seventh on-screen collaboration between Ammy Virk and Tania after 'Qismat' (2018), 'Sufna' (2020), 'Qismat 2' (2021), 'Lekh' (2022), 'Bajre Da Sitta' (2022) and 'Laung Laachi 2'. Although Virk and Tania had made guest appearances in Lekh and Laung Laachi 2 respectively, the pair will be seen together in a movie for the fourth time in eight months.
In addition to Virk and Tania, Oye Makhna also stars Guggu Gill, Sidhika Sharma, Sukhwinder Chahal, Hardeep Gill, Tarsem Paul, Deedar Gill, Satwant Kaur, Rose J. Kaur, Manju Mahal and Parminder Gill in pivotal roles.
Written by Rakesh Dhawan and directed by Simerjit Singh, the writer-director have worked with Virk as a pair for the first time. However, individually, the trio has been part of movies in the past such as 'Angrej' (2015), 'Nikka Zaildar' series (2016-2019), 'Muklawa' (2019) and 'Aaja Mexico Challiye' (2022).
As far as Tania is concerned, she has a couple of unreleased movies with both Simerjit Singh and Dhawan in 'Daddy Cool Munde Fool 2' and 'Uchiyan Ne Gallan Tere Yaar Diyan' respectively. Additionally, Virk's recently announced 'Anni Dea Mazaak Ae' will also see him work alongside Dhawan.
Oye Makhna Trailer Review
I am expecting at least a few people to argue about the presence of the aforementioned excessive general knowledge in a trailer review. Honestly, I don't blame them because the blame here falls on the above mentioned artists and their mundane knack of working with each other so frequently.
Perhaps it is due to the same reason that the trailer of Oye Makhna is nothing but a recurring premise of what these established names have performed successfully in the past.
A boy developing romantic feelings for a girl but mistaken identity playing spoilsport during an arranged marriage sequence was executed and liked by one and all in Nikka Zaildar. However, one doesn't want the same to be repeated (even slightly) six years down the line.
Mind you this rant-of-sorts around a 182-second trailer is primarily because of the same thing time and again having a significant hit on one's expectations from people who are considered to be the best in the Punjabi film industry.
