Aman Dhaliwal, a Pollywood actor and son of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) member Mithu Singh Kahneke, was assaulted by four unidentified men in Mansa on Thursday. The actor was returning from Ludhiana after his commercial engagements.
Aman Dhaliwal has worked in Bollywood movies including Big Brother, Jodhaa Akbar, Coffee House. His recent movie “Leather Life”, based on the 1984 Sikh riots faced tough time while getting clearance from the censor board.
While returning from Ludhiana late Thursday night, the actor was allegedly followed by a car which overtook his car near Mansa and was attacked by four men. The actor somehow managed to escape and reach his house in Arvind Nagar, Mansa. “As I left Ludhiana, I realised that a car is following us, but we didn’t raise alarm. It was around 12:30 am when the car overtook us and four masked men assaulted me. I am having spinal and cervical injuries,” said Aman.
The actor was on Friday admitted to the civil hospital, but he could not record his statement as doctors declared him medically unfit. “The doctors informed us about his case, but later they told us that he was not fit enough to record his statement,” said Rakesh Kumar, SHO sadar.
Influential people behind attack?
While speaking to HT, the actor, however, alleged that he can identify the people behind the attack and will be soon revealing their names. “Currently, I am not able to record my statement but once I recover I will reveal those names who are suspected to be behind this incident.” His father Mithu Singh Kahneke, however, avoided questions about the incident.
