Popular Punjabi singer and actor Harbhajan Mann took to social media today to share the sad news of the demise of his father-in-law, Sardar Harcharan Singh Gill Ramuwalia, who passed away in Toronto, Canada.

In an emotional tribute, Harbhajan Mann wrote, “My wife Harman Mann's father and my respected Papa Ji (Father-in-law) Harcharan Singh Gill Ji have completed their worldly journey in Toronto and have gone to the feet of Guru Maharaj Ji.”

Harbhajan described his father-in-law as a progressive thinker and a kind-hearted man who had lived in Toronto for over 53 years, becoming a well-respected member of the community there.

A former school teacher from Punjab, Harcharan Singh Gill served in his native village Ramunwala Nawan in District Moga, and later in various schools across the state. He was also the eldest son of Shiromani Kavishar Karnail Singh Paras Ji, a respected name in Punjabi literary and cultural circles.

Remembering his wisdom and guidance, Harbhajan added: “His advice and encouragement have always inspired us to move forward. He has taught us how to live life with a lively heart in every situation. His teachings and his memory will always be with us.”

The Mann family has requested prayers for the departed soul and expressed hope that God will grant him eternal peace at His holy feet.

Condolences are pouring in from fans, well-wishers, and members of the Punjabi music and film fraternity, who remember Harcharan Singh Gill as a dignified presence in the Mann family’s life.
