Jagdeep Sidhu announces sequel: The director of the film finally made the announcement of the much-awaited sequel last night.

Writer-director Jagdeep Sidhu announced the sequel of his directorial debut in ‘Qismat’ last night. Released nearly a year ago, the movie ended up being an outright commercial and critical success.

Both Sidhu and actress Sargun Mehta had given hints of the sequel being in the pipeline when they uploaded posts on their respective social media accounts regarding the same a few months ago.

Sidhu eventually took to his Instagram handle last night to make the update public. “Sargun, for you only … tu dost ni oye bhara eh sada .. tu kyu darre .. Ammy Virk … love you,” read the caption of Sidhu’s Instagram post.

The mention of Mehta and Virk’s name in the caption makes it clear that Qismat 2 will star the same lead pair. It is also worth mentioning that the movie will release on September 18 next year. The rest of the cast remains unknown at this point in time.
