Preet Baath on Mitran Nu Shaunk Hathyaran Da: The actor credited his director for understanding fellow actors during the shoot of the movie.
“I had directed ‘Burrraahh‘ [2012]. 80-90% of the industry including the artists were of the opinion that the movie won’t work. They said that the movie is not in line with the trending movies and hence it won’t work. However, I was adamant that if we make a good movie, it will work,” director Sagar S. Sharma was quoted as saying in an interview with Punjabi Mania.
With his next movie titled ‘Mitran Nu Shaunk Hathyaran Da‘ scheduled to release on November 8, Sharma further talked about receiving similar suggestions this time as well. However, it was his belief in the project which has made it reach this point.
It isn’t a surprise that people expressed doubts over a contrasting subject in the Punjabi film industry. Opening up on why the audiences should visit the cinema halls on November 8 and watch the movie, Sharma laid emphasis on a “thin-line message” amidst an entertaining project which doesn’t promote violence at all.
“You will get an understanding [after watching the movie] of what today’s youth should do and should not do. It’s a thin-line message. All in all, the whole movie will entertain you. These boys and girls have done a fantastic job.

“We are receiving messages and comments on social media that we are promoting weapons though this movie. If you think the same, please watch the movie once in cinema halls once. If even then you feel the same, feel free to even abuse us. I’ll accept all your views but after you watch the movie,” Sharma said.

Actor Preet Baath, who also featured in Sharma’s ‘Jugni Yaaran Di’ earlier this year, was wax lyrical about his director. With Sharma also playing antagonist Bhullar sahab in the movie, Baath considered the director also working as an actor to be a plus point for the rest of the actors.
“He doesn’t exhaust his actors. He knows the time limit till when the actors are comfortable working on the sets. His creative vision is obviously a big plus for us as well.
“Secondly, he has been an actor. He is playing a vital role in this movie. As an actor, he suggests you to pick the right note while acting. There are times when such suggestions come good for the actor. Whenever your director is a good actor or even if he understands what is going on in the mind of the actor, it really helps,” Baath added.
