Punjabi filmmakers are not shying away from experimenting in Punjabi films, not just in terms of concepts and themes but also with the content. ‘Item songs’, which is a very popular phenomenon in Bollywood has never been a very sought after concept in the Punjabi industry as there is rarely any Punjabi film which that has an item song in it. The makers of the upcoming movie, DSP Dev, are ready to experiment, by adding an item number in the film.

The Dev Kharoud starrer, DSP Dev, is being directed by Mandeep Benipal, produced by Ravneet Kaur Chahal & Rajesh Kumar and has been penned by Gurpreet Bhullar. The film will be made under the banner of Dream Reality Films & Ravneet Chahal. The worldwide distribution of the film will be done by White Hill Studios. Along with Dev Kharoud in the lead, the film will also star Manav Vij, Mehrene Pirzada, Aman Dhaliwal, Girija Shankar, Neeta Mohindra, Shavinder Mahal and Tarsem Paul in pivotal roles.

Actress, performer and the Haryanvi star Sapna Chaudhary will be doing the item number in the film. The genre of item songs has not been explored in the Punjabi film industry. The makers of DSP Dev have tried something different and new to attract the audience’s attention. This news has created a buzz amongst the fans who are extremely excited for this song.

The action-packed movie will witness Kharoud playing in and as DSP Dev. This movie promises a fresh concept and a different storyline. The item song will definitely be the highlight of the film. The movie which was earlier scheduled to release on 2 August will now release on 5 July 2019. The fans are eagerly looking forward to this film.
