Renowned Bollywood musician Shankar Ehsaan Loy has officially stepped into the Punjabi film industry, marking his debut with the electrifying title track of the upcoming film 'Akaal'. This high-energy anthem is sung by none other than Sukhwinder Singh, with a dynamic rap segment performed by the legendary Bohemia. The song’s powerful lyrics have been penned by Happy Raikoti, while the music has been composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy.

The arrival of Shankar Ehsaan Loy in the Punjabi industry has already created a buzz, with his work on the Akaal title track receiving widespread appreciation. He is known for his timeless Bollywood compositions. Now, he has lent his expertise to a Punjabi film for the first time, setting the stage for a fresh musical experience.

The film’s producer and lead actor, Gippy Grewal, played an instrumental role in the creation of the song. In a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video shared by the makers, Gippy Grewal can be seen assisting Shankar Ehsaan Loy as he craft the track together. He also explains the deep meaning of ‘Akaal’ to the composer, ensuring he captures the film’s essence through music.  

Akaal is one of the most anticipated Punjabi films of the year and is slated for release on April 10, 2025. With an impressive soundtrack and a gripping storyline, the film is expected to make waves in the industry.
