Fifth clash of 2022 in the Punjabi film industry will happen between ‘Television’ and ‘Sher Bagga’ on this Friday, i.e., tomorrow.
Among the many movies which were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Television finally getting a release date has come as a huge respite not only for the makers but also for the fans.
Taj, who had last directed a Chaupal Original titled ‘Dustbin’ (2021), has directed Television. While Mani Manjinder Singh has written the script and screenplay of the movie, tried and tested pair of Aman Sidhu and Tata Benipal have written the dialogues.
Singer-actor Kulwinder Billa, who hasn’t had a theatrical release for almost four years now, is playing a lead role in Television. Last seen in a ZEE5 Original named ‘Mera Vyah Kara Do’ earlier this year, Television will be actor Mandy Takhar’s first theatrical release of the year.
Apart from the aforementioned lead pair, Television also stars an ensemble cast comprising of Gurpreet Ghuggi, BN Sharma, Prince Kanwaljit Singh, Gurmeet Saajan, Parkash Gadhu, Harby Sangha, Dilawar Sidhu, Seema Kaushal, Mohini Toor, Satwinder Kaur, Baninder Bunny, Raj Dhaliwal, Manu Bhardwaj and late Kaka Kautki.

Television will portray a heart-warming story from the 1980s which is expected to be an apt blend of comedy, romance and emotions. As the title suggests, the movie will portray a time when television had just started to find a space in the villages of Punjab.
A sure-shot source of amazement in the movie, working of a novel electronic device will put on display people’s varying emotions with respect to it in Television. The subject of the movie has it in it to bring family members together to the cinema halls tomorrow.
Television has been produced by Sumeet Singh and Pushpinder Kaur under the banners of Saga Studios, A Simerjit Singh Production, Collective Media Ventures, Hayre Entertainment and Rising Star Entertainers.
Digitally powered by Unisys Infosolutions Pvt. Ltd., Television has been distributed worldwide by Seven Colors Entertainment. In addition to Jagdeep Sidhu’s Sher Bagga, the movie will also face competition at the box-office from Raj Mehta’s ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’.
