One of the popular shows of small screen Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, faced backlash for depicting a living character of tenth Sikh Guru Gobind Singh. After the incident, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) demanded a ban on the popular show for hurting the religious sentiments of the community. Now, the makers have given the clarification on the controversy and requested people not to misinterpret it.
After the controversy, Gurcharan Singh Sodhi himself clarified that he essayed the role of Guru Gobind Singh Ji ka Khalsa and not Guru Gobind Singh ji adding that there was some mistake in the disclaimer. He went on to say that if people will hear dialogues then it will be cleared that he was playing Guru Gobind Singh Ji ka Khalsa.
Producer of the show Asit Kumarr Modi also tweeted, “Roshan singh Sodhi became Guru Gobind singh Ji Ka Khalsa not Guru Gobind singh. Please check his dialogues and the episodes.”
