Well known production house White Hill Studios have made the announcement of the year in the Punjabi film industry. In what has come as a source of amazement for a glut of fans of the Punjabi movies is the announcement that White Hill have planned for a Cinematic Universe in the Punjabi film industry.
Couldn’t fathom the development in the first go? Neither could we.
In an announcement which is beyond the belief of any Punjabi fan, White Hill have announced an eight-part series of feature films based on super heroes. While the above said has been a blockbuster approach in the West, it is all set to be pursued in the Punjabi film industry now.
Talking about the cast of the movie, White Hill have named as many as five actors and a couple of actresses to star in the series. Arguably the Top Leading personalities in Punjab in Amrinder Gill, Gippy Grewal, Dev Kharoud, Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta will be seen playing as the seven super heroes of the cinematic universe.
Punjabi Mania understands that while the first seven movies will be based on individual stories, the last one will comprise of all of them sharing the screen for the first time together in a Punjabi movie.
Expressing excitement about the same, a source close to White Hill Studios also unveiled that the whole project will involve financial backing from a Hollywood producer as well. Punjabi Mania also understands that the first part of the movie will release towards the second half of 2021. It is assumed that the series will end with the grand dream project in 2030.
