Yo Yo Honey Singh’s Chandigarh Concert Venue Changed

Yo Yo Honey Singh’s Chandigarh Concert Venue: After being denied a venue in Panchkula, rapper-singer Yo Yo Honey Singh has announced a change of location for his upcoming Chandigarh concert, scheduled for March 23. The concert will now take place at the Sector 25 rally ground in Chandigarh. Honey Singh confirmed the new venue on Instagram, sharing a photo with the caption: “The venue for Chandigarh has been changed! This will be a new venue!! See you all in Chandigarh!!”

Previously, efforts were made by the team to reach out to Panchkula Deputy Commissioner Monica Gupta and Deputy Commissioner of Police Himadri Kaushik to inquire about the reasons behind the venue rejection. However, they did not receive a response.

In addition, the organizers will now be charged Rs 5 lakh per day for the venue booking, following a recent decision by the UT Estate Office. The booking rates for grounds in Sectors 25 and 34 have been raised from Rs 30,000 to Rs 5 lakh per day for commercial events with a gathering of over 5,000 people. For smaller events with fewer than 5,000 attendees, the booking rate remains at Rs 30,000 per day.

It’s important to note that complaints from residents living near Sector 34 were filed last year regarding noise and traffic congestion caused by concerts featuring Diljit Dosanjh and Karan Aujla. As a result, the UT administration decided to limit large gatherings at that venue. Similarly, AP Dhillon’s concert was also moved to the Sector 25 rally ground.
