Mahhi Vij’s Choice Changes the Mood
On the September 16 episode, the clearest turning point came when Mahhi Vij targeted Yung during the second round of the captaincy task. Kanika was operating the round, while Mary Kom, Mahhi Vij and Amrapali were asked to throw coloured sponges at the male contestant they wanted removed. Mahhi Vij picked Yung and gave a simple reason: he had already been captain once. That explanation did not land well with Yung, who saw the choice as unfair rather than merely strategic.
The task itself was built around removal, not persuasion. The women made their choices through the sponge throws, and Kanika then had to act as operator. She eventually removed Yung and Rohed from the task. Gullu, watching how the round was handled, felt Kanika had been fair. For Yung, though, the issue did not end with the round. He later told Love Gill that Mahhi Vij had targeted him and said he had tried to save Aasif Khan during the task.
Yung Steps Away From Mahhi Vij
After the round, Yung’s disappointment hardened into distance. His objection was not just that he lost a captaincy chance; he felt the reasoning ignored how the task should have been played. Amrapali pushed him to see Mahhi Vij differently, and ScoutOP also aligned with Yung’s frustration. The result was a visible shift: Yung and ScoutOP decided they would not continue with Mahhi Vij in the same way.
Mahhi Vij, meanwhile, read Yung’s reaction differently. Speaking later, she said his behaviour showed he did not have a big heart. She also connected his reaction to the fact that he had already been captain and had wanted to protect Aasif Khan. Her view was that the opposite side was beginning to behave like a bully group. Later, Mahhi Vij told Uditi she missed Yung, but said she would not approach him first and wanted him to come to her if he wanted to resolve the matter.
Arguments Spread Beyond The Task
The episode did not stay limited to Yung and Mahhi Vij. ScoutOP’s comment during the task became another discussion point after Isha challenged his statement about colour going near his eyes. ScoutOP maintained that the audience would judge what he had actually said. Later, Isha asked Gullu whether he had heard the remark, and Gullu said that whenever he supported a woman in the house, people accused him of using the woman card.
Isha was also affected emotionally after the task. Aman tried to calm her by asking her to return to the present. Mahhi Vij, however, criticised Isha’s behaviour, saying she could be irritating and that she seemed lazy for much of the day before suddenly becoming active. These smaller exchanges added to the sense that the captaincy task had disturbed several relationships at once.
Gullu Advances And Aasif Khan Clashes With Aman
Bigg Boss then announced the third round of the captaincy task. Arishfa Khan became the operator, while Aman, Gullu and Aasif Khan were the male contenders. Uditi, Kanika and Isha were assigned the role of throwing sponges at the contestant they wanted to remove. Gullu came out of the round ahead, defeating Aman and Aasif Khan to secure his place in the captaincy race.
Afterward, Aman said he had fought like a fighter. That comment led to a heated argument with Aasif Khan, with both men blaming each other over what had happened during the task. Uditi also objected to Aasif Khan’s behaviour and gestures during the round, and Mahhi Vij said he had lost respect in her eyes. Gullu later thanked Isha and Kanika for helping him move forward.
The Reel Round Adds New Contenders
The captaincy race then moved to a different format for the women. Each female contestant had two minutes to make a reel about a housemate, while the others could like or dislike the performance. Arishfa Khan made one for ScoutOP and received seven likes. Reports agree that Love Gill’s act centred on Mahhi Vij and also involved Aman and Arishfa Khan, earning nine likes and six dislikes. Rhiti sang for Mary Kom and Qazi and received 15 likes, while Mahhi Vij’s act as Kanika also received 15 likes.
After this round, Rhiti, Mahhi Vij and Kanika joined Gullu as captaincy contenders. The format briefly shifted the house from confrontation to performance, but it still produced a concrete game consequence: four contestants moved ahead in the race.
Qazi’s Support Comes Under Pressure
By the end of the episode, Qazi was also being questioned over where he stood. Uditi asked why he had supported the other team, and Arishfa Khan was upset because she expected support from him because of their bond. Qazi said he would make his own choices while still caring about them, then tried to comfort Arishfa Khan.
The restrained read from the confirmed events is that the September 16 episode turned captaincy mechanics into a test of loyalty. Mahhi Vij’s one choice against Yung affected friendships, Gullu’s task win changed the race, and Qazi’s independent decision-making brought emotional consequences without resolving where those bonds would settle.
