Gullu Wins Captaincy in Apple Count After Three Reach Final Round

Gullu Takes the Biggest Win of the Day

The major development from the September 17, 2026 episode was Gullu becoming captain of the Bigg Boss house. According to the supplied recap, the result came after a two-stage captaincy process that first required selected contestants to make removal choices and then moved into the BB Fruit Corner task. By the end, Gullu had collected the most apples and defeated Kanika and Mahhi Vij for the position.

House Talk Turns Toward Mary Kom and Arishfa Khan

Before the captaincy race reached its final stage, the episode opened with smaller conversations that reflected the house’s existing divisions. Mahhi Vij and Uditi discussed Mary Kom, with Mahhi saying Mary Kom tended to move conversations toward the other group instead of staying with the original topic. Amrapali later told Mary Kom that Mahhi had been speaking about her, and Mary Kom responded that she did not sit with the other group.

Arishfa Khan also became a subject of criticism. ScoutOP said Arishfa Khan lip-synced her poetry rather than performing it directly, while Amrapali dismissed the poetry as meaningless. These moments did not appear to alter the game structure, but they kept attention on how housemates were judging one another’s behaviour.

First Captaincy Round Removes Four Names

Bigg Boss then called the housemates to the activity room and explained the first part of the captaincy task, while Gullu, Kanika, Mahhi Vij and Rhiti were asked to remain outside. The task involved a pointed choice: the selected contenders could take the life of one nominated contender, and refusal would remove the decision-maker from the captaincy race.

Rhiti refused to participate. Gullu entered and took ScoutOP’s life, explaining that he was following a team rather than acting independently. That decision moved Gullu into the second round. Kanika then took Rohed’s life, saying she did not understand his point of view, and Mahhi Vij took Aasif Khan’s life to secure her own spot. Bigg Boss confirmed that Gullu, Kanika and Mahhi Vij would continue, while Rhiti, ScoutOP, Rohed and Aasif Khan were out of the captaincy competition. This was a task consequence, not an eviction.

Qazi and Aasif Khan Clash as an Old Joke Returns

The house atmosphere intensified when Qazi and Aasif Khan got into a heated verbal clash during the wider tension involving Love Gill and Arishfa Khan. The argument drew in other housemates, and Amrapali brought up Qazi’s earlier bald doll incident. Kanika asked what the incident was, and ScoutOP explained what Qazi had said, bringing the old joke back into the present conflict.

Isha warned Qazi about jokes concerning women, saying repeated remarks of that kind could affect the respect he had earned. Qazi later told Rhiti that another topic had already been under discussion before Amrapali brought up the joke from three days earlier. His frustration continued as he asked the housemates not to turn his jokes into a bigger issue, while Kanika told Mahhi Vij that she did not like Qazi’s jokes.

Mahhi Vij and Love Gill Turn Personal

In another argument, Mahhi Vij and Love Gill targeted each other’s careers. Love Gill asked Mahhi Vij whether she was getting work, a remark described in the source as a taunt about professional opportunities. Mahhi Vij answered by saying she had come to Bigg Boss to revive her career. The exchange moved the disagreement beyond house dynamics and into personal ambitions, making the conflict sharper even without changing the task result.

Apple Count Decides the Captaincy

The final stage was the BB Fruit Corner task. Bigg Boss asked Gullu, Kanika and Mahhi Vij to wear a table, while other housemates gave them apples one at a time. Yung was appointed operator. The rule was simple: the contender with the highest number of apples on the table would win.

Once the task ended, Bigg Boss announced that Gullu had received the most apples. That made him the captain, closing a day shaped by arguments, reputation-based criticism and a captaincy format that depended heavily on the choices of other housemates. A modest reading of the episode is that Gullu’s win came through both stages: he first survived the removal round by taking ScoutOP out of the race, then finished ahead in the apple-count task.
