Mel Karade Rabba

Navaniat Singh's 'Mel Karade Rabba' went on to become the highest grosser Punjabi film of its times. The movie starred Jimmy Sheirgill and Neeru Bajwa in lead roles. Desi Rockstar of the Punjabi industry, Gippy Grewal, made his debut in Punjabi movies in Mel Karade Rabba. Apart from them, Binnu Dhillon, Jaswinder Bhalla, Sunita Dhir and Shavinder Mahal playes pivotal roles in the movie. Written by Dheeraj Rattan, the movie revolved around the love story of Rajveer Gill (Sheirgill) and Seerat Randhawa (Bajwa). Nihal Dhasah (Grewal) and his friend (Dhillon) played the role of antagonists. Nihal also likes Seerat and does his best to separate her from Rajveer. The story progresses as things start to happen as per Nihal's wish. But eventually, they unite again towards the end of the movie. What was an essential factor behind the success of the movie was the high quality of its music.
