Popular Bollywood actor Govinda was admitted to CritiCare Hospital in Juhu late Monday night following a sudden spell of unconsciousness at his home, according to his legal advisor and longtime friend Lalit Bindal.
Bindal said that the 61-year-old actor fainted unexpectedly and reached out to him for assistance. “He suddenly felt unwell and lost consciousness. After his call, I took him to CritiCare Hospital. Doctors have kept him under observation and several diagnostic tests are being carried out,” he said.
Hospital officials have yet to issue an official statement, but sources suggest that Govinda’s condition is stable and he is responding well to treatment.
Bindal also informed fans about the actor’s condition through a heartfelt message on Instagram. “Our beloved @govinda_herono1 has been admitted to the hospital due to disorientation and unconsciousness. Wishing him a quick recovery,” he wrote, sparking a flood of messages from fans and colleagues across the film industry.
Govinda, who rose to fame in the 1990s with a string of blockbuster comedies and dance hits, has continued to enjoy immense popularity for his distinctive screen presence and charm.
Family members and close friends have been visiting the hospital, and doctors are expected to release a formal update once test results are finalized. Fans continue to gather outside the hospital, hoping for positive news about the veteran star’s health.
