Sufna to be the sole romantic script: The forthcoming Punjabi movie starring some tried and tested names will release on Valentine’s Day this year.

While there’s no guarantee for a film’s commercial success, one can also not deny the fact that a festive release gives a certain advantage as far as the box-office is concerned.

Irrespective of the industry, producers tend to lock festive dates for their movies well in advance to make sure that a solo release gathers them the required numbers especially when it comes to movies starring A-list actors.

Talking about the Punjabi film industry, the upcoming Valentine’s Day weekend will witness the release of Ammy Virk and Tania-starrer ‘Sufna‘. Written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, not many guesses are required to assume that the movie will be an out and out romantic project.

Sufna to be the sole romantic script

While one expects more romantic releases in the month of February, it won’t be the case in Punjab this year. As a result, Sufna finds itself amidst more of an advantage than any disadvantage.

Slated to be the only Punjabi romantic film among three other action films in February, Sufna will face unprecedented expectations which are also because of the names involved behind it.

If the movie delivers qualitatively (which it is expected to do), no one will be able to stop is from blooming commercially. A Valentine’s Day festive release in addition to no other romantic film this month will further aid the movie once it delivers on critical lines on February 14.

Apart from the lead pair, Sufna will witness pivotal roles from Jagjeet Sandhu, Seema Kaushal, Jasmin Bajwa, Kaka Kautki, Mohini Toor, Lakha Lehri, Balwinder Bullet, Rabab Kaur and Mintu Kapa.
