Speaking to the media, Dr. Jalil Parker of Lilavati Hospital shared an update on the actor’s health. “Prem Chopra ji was admitted under the supervision of his family cardiologist, Dr. Nitin Gokhale. He had a minor heart-related concern along with a viral and lung infection. He is not critical and is being treated in the general ward, not the ICU,” Dr. Parker clarified.

Known for his commanding screen presence and charismatic portrayals of villains, Prem Chopra remains one of Indian cinema’s most recognisable figures. He began his acting journey in Punjabi cinema with Chaudhary Karnail Singh (1960) before gaining attention in Hindi films, especially after Shaheed (1965).

Over the next three decades, Chopra appeared in numerous blockbusters such as Do Raaste (1969), Kati Patang (1970), Do Anjaane (1976), Dostana (1980), and Kranti (1981). His distinctive dialogue delivery and charm made him an unforgettable figure in Bollywood’s golden era.
