Bollywood actor and performer Nora Fatehi was injured in a road accident in Mumbai’s western suburbs after another vehicle collided with the car she was travelling in, police officials confirmed.
The incident took place on Link Road in the Amboli area. According to the police, the car that hit Fatehi’s vehicle was allegedly being driven by Vinay Sakpal, a 27-year-old man, who has since been taken into custody.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the accused driver may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Authorities are conducting further checks to confirm the details and determine the extent of negligence involved.
Fatehi reportedly sustained minor injuries and was taken for a medical examination as a precautionary measure. Sources said that after being cleared by doctors, the actor proceeded with her prior commitment and attended the Sunburn music festival in south Mumbai, where she had been scheduled to make an appearance.
Police said the case is under investigation and appropriate legal action will be taken based on the findings.
