Punjab Floods 2025: How Punjabi Celebrities Are Helping

Punjab is facing one of its worst flood disasters in decades. Over 1,000 villages flooded, more than 1.5 million people displaced, and severe damage to farms and homes have created a humanitarian crisis.

Here’s how Punjabi celebrities are stepping up:

Diljit Dosanjh

His Saanjh Foundation has adopted 10 of the worst-hit villages in Gurdaspur and Amritsar. With help from NGOs and local officials, he's providing essentials like food, water, and medical aid. Relief efforts will continue into long-term rebuilding

Ammy Virk

Pledged to adopt 200 homes and is helping provide housing support to families who lost their homes. He even postponed his film 'Nikka Zaildar 4' to focus on relief efforts 

Sonu Sood

Acknowledging his Punjabi roots, he offered unwavering support, helping with evacuations, and stating, “We will get everyone back on their feet,” encouraging people to reach out if they need help. 

Gippy Grewal

Sent truckloads of silage and fodder for livestock in affected areas, helping farmers care for their cattle.

Karan Aujla

Donated a motorboat to assist rescue operations in Ludhiana and supported the distribution of food, medicines, and livestock fodder. He used his platform to urge fans to help, too.

Guru Randhawa

Set up a relief fund in his area and used social media to raise awareness and encourage public support.

Satinder Sartaaj

Through his foundation, he has been distributing ration and fodder kits in Ferozepur and Fazilka to help displaced communities.

Ranjit Bawa

Announced during a Canada concert that proceeds from one of his shows would be donated entirely to flood victims in Punjab.

Like Ranjit Bawa, he also announced to donate the earnings from one of his shows in Canada.

Jasbir Jassi

Actively appealed for help and reached out to fans and fellow artists to contribute to relief efforts.

Sunanda Sharma

Personally delivered relief kits to 250 households, showing hands-on compassion.

Himanshi Khurana

Promised to support the resettlement of 10 families and urged unity among everyone to help Punjab recover.
