Chandigarh: The release of Punjabi Aa Gaye Oye, featuring Prince Kanwaljit Singh and Singga, has been postponed in light of the widespread devastation caused by the Punjab floods 2025.

The film, which was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on September 5, will now be delayed indefinitely as the cast and crew have chosen to stand with those affected by the natural calamity.

Director Aditya Sood issued a heartfelt statement, stressing that Punjab’s well-being must come before cinema. “Punjab first! Seeing the current conditions, our team has decided not to release the film on September 5. Instead, we are dedicating ourselves to helping flood victims. We will remain available round-the-clock to support those in need,” he said.

He added a prayerful note, seeking strength for the people of Punjab and asking for divine blessings: “Waheguru bless our land… Shukar, Sabar, Mehar.”

The floods have caused widespread damage to homes, crops, and infrastructure across the state, prompting many from the Punjabi film and music fraternity to step forward with relief efforts.
