The much-awaited teaser of Shehnaaz Gill’s upcoming Punjabi film Ikk Kudi was unveiled on Monday, giving audiences a glimpse into an emotional yet entertaining journey of love, dreams, and family expectations.

Sharing the teaser on Instagram, Shehnaaz wrote, “Excited to share! Ikk Kudi teaser, I hope you will like it. Even if the world changes, some stories never change.”

The teaser unfolds across two timelines—1955 and 2025—with Shehnaaz Gill portraying the central character in both eras. Through her narration, she highlights how, despite changing times, the struggles faced by women around marriage remain strikingly similar. “When it comes to girls, some things never really change—first, their dreams and wishes about their weddings. And second, their fears about their weddings,” she says in the video.

The visuals balance heartfelt emotions with light-hearted family drama, showcasing a girl’s inner conflict as she prepares for marriage—caught between societal expectations and her own aspirations.

Produced under the banners of Raaya Picturez, Amor Films, and Shehnaaz Gill Productions, the film is helmed by director-writer Amarjit Singh Saron and backed by producers Kaushal Joshi, Amarjit Singh Saron, and Shehnaaz Gill herself. The worldwide release will be handled by Dharma Productions, led by Karan Johar.

The film, which was officially announced last November with glimpses from the first day of shooting, is scheduled to release in theatres on September 19, 2025.

With Ikk Kudi, Shehnaaz Gill is set to bring a refreshing mix of emotions, tradition, and modernity to Punjabi cinema, making it one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
