Smeep Kang’s ‘Carry On Jatta 2‘ has become the latest entrant into the 50-day club for the movie has achieved the feat in both India and overseas. The movie is currently into its eighth week with 15 shows still playing on a daily basis across the globe.
From creating history on Day 1 to escalating to unprecedented paradigms on the following days, Carry On Jatta 2 turned out to be a money-spinner at the box-office. The sequel to 2012-blockbuster movie didn’t prove to be just-another-sequel but was equally able in its own way.
There was a time when completing 50 days was considered to be an attainment. The trend has faded over the year because the contemporary movies seldom last for that long. It is this reason which makes this day for Carry On Jatta 2 all the more special. It is a sign of the movie rising up the ranks both critically and commercially.
