‘Afsar’ Movie Preview: Punjabi Mania presents before you full preview of upcoming Punjabi movie named ‘Afsar’.
From the release of its trailer to a couple of days before the release of the movie, ‘Afsar’ has journeyed on a blooming path, a path which has taken the build-up of the movie is the right direction. Releasing on this Friday, i.e., October 5, one feels that the movie is likely to leave an impact both critically and commercially.
Afsar will mark the directorial debut of Gulshan Singh. The movie stars a novel lead pair in Tarsem Jassar and Nimrat Khaira. Apart from them, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol, Rana Jung Bahadur and Pukhraj Bhalla will be seen playing pivotal roles in the movie.
As the name suggests, Afsar will witness the story of a quartet of government officials. The highlight of the movie is highly likely to be the tussle between a Patwaari and a Kanugo. The romantic facet of the movie will see another government official in Khaira. Whether the Kanugo will pin down the Patwaari or vice-versa, all these doubts will be cleared on this Friday.
Afsar’s music has emerged out as the linchpin of the movie and is expected to play a significant role in the movie as well. Five songs of the movie have released so far, all of them being liked by the audiences. The sixth one (sung by Khaira) is scheduled to release in the evening.
Afsar’s script and screenplay has been written by renowned writer in Jas Grewal. The movie is produced by Amiek Virk and Manpreet Johal under the banner of Nadar Films and Vehli Janta Films. Given the films Grewal has written and both these banners have produced in the past, one can expect Afsar to stand tall on the expectations bestowed upon it. The movie will receive competition at the box-office from Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Andhadhun’ and Abhiraj Minawala’s ‘Loveratri’.
The trailer of the movie was release almost three weeks ago on the official YouTube channel of White Hill Music. At the time of writing this article, it has received in vicinity of a whopping 11 million views on the same platform.
