The new trend in the Punjabi Film Industry is of actors turning producers and Ammy Virk and Binnu Dhillon are it’s latest entrants. The duo announced their production houses in a press conference held in Chandigarh today. Ammy Virk announced The Villager Studios and Binnu Dhillon announced Naughty Men Productions.
The association of these two production houses will together produce three films. The first film by the duo will have them in the lead roles. The story is by Jass Grewal and Pankaj Batra will be directing it. The film will be going on floor this year only.
The next film will be starring Binnu in the lead role. Ksshitij Chaudhary will be directing the film which will be based on a Jass Grewal story. The film is starting in April this year.
The duo will come together in another film, this one directed by Smeep Kang and written by Naresh Kathuria. This film will go on floor in the month of July.
Ammy Virk, the man at the helm of The Villager Studios, said, “It is always exciting to venture into a new arena. We have a team of the best with us. How can you expect anything less than the best? I am looking forward to the projects we will bring to the audience.”
Binnu Dhillon, who launched Naughty Men Productions and announced the three-film deal, said, “I had been waiting to enter into production for some time now. I am really excited about this association. With these wonderful directors and writers, the movies are going to be nothing short of super hits.”
All the films will be distributed by Munish Sahni of Omjee Group.
