‘Ardaas Karaan’ Successfully Enters Its Second Week

After the record-breaking success of erstwhile film Ardaas, it’s recently released sequel ‘Ardaas Karaan’ which has been directed & produced by Gippy Grewal under the banner of Humble Motion Pictures, which is Gippy Grewal’s own production house. It has become the ‘weekend highest-grossing’ Punjabi film of 2019 in international markets, over the first week & has entered it’s second week successfully. ‘Ardaas Karaan’ was released worldwide on July 19.

The starcast of the film include Gurpreet Ghuggi, Gippy Grewal, Malkit Rauni, Rana Jung Bahadur, Hobby Dhaliwal, Sapna Pabbi, Meher Vij, Japji Khaira and Kuljinder Singh Sidhu. The story of the movie has been penned by Gippy Grewal & Rana Ranbir.

The film is based on the concepts of positive living, living life to the fullest and believing in the power of prayer. The film vividly shows the conflicts raised by generation gaps and gives an important message to the viewers in a beautiful yet strong manner. It conveys the message of respecting parents and living every moment of life with a positive outlook.

Along with the great box office numbers, ‘Ardaas Karaan’ is also recieving very good public reviews and is being appreciated by the film critics as well. The film is running in its second week and still the box office performance has not declined at all.

This film also marks the debut of Gippy Grewal’s son Gurfateh Singh Grewal popularly called ‘Shinda’. This cute young actor’s performance too is bringing audiences to theatres. Sapna Pabbi, Rana Jung Bahadur and Meher Vij also have given stellar performances.

Considering the fact that the film conveys a beautiful and relevant social message and is a ‘must-watch’ for the youth of the country, the President and the Chief of the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, has appealed to the Honble Minister Of Information and Broadcast of India, Mr. Prakash Javadekar, to exempt the movie from the entertainment tax. Manjinder Singh Sirsa has also requested and appealed to the Chief Minster of Delhi- Arvind Kejriwal for the same.
