Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has ordered a CID investigation into the death of iconic singer Zubeen Garg, following the filing of multiple First Information Reports (FIRs) linked to the tragedy. In a statement released on X (formerly Twitter), Sarma confirmed that Shri Syamkanu Mahanta and Shri Sidharth Sarma were named in connection with Garg’s unfortunate and untimely passing.
Zubeen Garg’s death sent shockwaves through Assam and beyond, as the beloved figure was not only a celebrated musician but also a prominent cultural icon.
