Ban on Punjabi Movie Sadda Haq has been lifted by the Supreme Court of India today. The verdict has come after a pleawas filed by the makers of the movie.
The court has yesterday formed a panel to watch the movie and make a recommendation. After going through the panel recommendations, the court decided to lift the ban.
Reacting to the news director Mandeep Benipal said, “It’s a great news for us. The movie has got a great response overseas and now with court’s decision of lifting the ban, we hope it will do good in Punjab as well.”
“People in overseas are loving it but the irony was people in Punjab were curtailed from watching it. We are happy that the court has lifted the ban on the movie,” said a happy Mandeep.
