There is no hiding to the fact that the movie promises to be an authentic and rare content-driven movie in the Punjabi film industry. Do Dooni Panj gives the impression of asking the question of what exact role does the educational qualification or degrees play in the overall grooming of an individual in India?
In a country like ours, where plentiful youngsters struggle to get a job despite being educated, the subject is most likely to be relatable for all those youngsters. Given the subject is a matter of concern for the youth, one expects it to allure the right age group of audiences.
While all of it looks good on paper and in the trailer, how the narrative unfolds on the celluloid will only be known on this Friday. If Bhatti and Maan pull this off, it is likely to be added as a highlight in their individual careers.
Having co-produced Ardaas, music composer and rapper Badshah has produced the movie under the banner of Apra Films. Whether that will affect that business of the movie or not will be only be known in the days to come.
Do Dooni Panj will receive competition at the box-office from Aditya Dhar's 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', Vijay Gutte's 'The Accidental Prime Minister' and Shravan Kumar's '706'. That being said, the movie is expected to do better in East Punjab.
