The rising star of Punjabi cinema Jagjeet Sandhu is all ready to take the lead position as he will be seen as the main lead in his next film ‘Unni-Ikki‘. Sawan Rupowali will play the female lead opposite Jagjeet Sandhu in the film. Both the actors have emerged from theatre and are slowly growing in the punjabi movie industry. The movie will be directed by Kunwar Singh. This film would be Kuwar Singh’s first movie as a director.

Jagjit Sandhu has done significant roles in many hit movies like Rupinder Gandhi Series, Dakuaan Da Munda, Rabb Da Radio, Qissa Punjab , and Sajjan Singh Rangroot. Sawan Rupowali was last seen playing the female lead character in the movie Harjeeta opposite Ammy Virk. She had earlier also played a small role in Ammy Virk’s film Saab Bahadar.

Currently, Jagjeet Singh is shooting for his upcoming movies Kakaji and Mitti Virasat Babbaraan Di. The actor would also be seen in the film Rang Punjab which will release on 23 November this year. Along with this, he will also be seen playing the main lead in in a feature film titled Train To Bikaner.

The makers of the film have not disclosed many details about the movie. The names of the actors, playing supporting characters in the film have also not been revealed by the team. The release date has also been kept under wraps by the makers. It would be exciting to see Jagjeet Sandhu playing the main role as he has been mostly seen playing character roles in the films. The fans are very excited to see the first look of the film.
