Punjabi music stars Jazzy B, Chani Nattan, and Inderpal Moga added a new chapter to their global journey yesterday as they were hosted for lunch at the British Columbia Legislative Assembly’s Parliamentary Dining Room in Victoria.
The trio, whose music has resonated across continents, was invited to the legislature, where they met with Premier David Eby, posing for photos and engaging in conversation about music, culture, and community. The visit was seen as a celebration of the growing global footprint of Punjabi music.
In a proud moment for the community, MLA Steve Kooner of the Conservative Party stood up in the legislature to honour the artists. He spoke about the cultural bridge these singers have built and applauded their role in putting Punjabi music on the international map.
The visit highlighted not just the popularity of the artists but also the deep cultural ties between the Punjabi community and Canadian society, a relationship that continues to thrive and grow stronger with each passing year.
