The release of Punjabi Film Oh My Pyo Ji, has been stalled following an order by Ludhiana court on the complaint of Yuvraj Singh Bains. Yuvraj, who claims to be the co-producer of the movie, has said that he and Niharika Sahni (Producer, Oh My Pyo Ji) studied together at Whistling Woods (A film school of Subhash Ghai). Studying there they worked together on a Punjabi project and all agreements at the primary stage had only his name or both of their names. But after the film got completed he discovered that Niharika got the movie registered on her name.

Following which he approached Ludhiana Court on May 30. The court imposed a ban on the release of the movie and fixed July 7 as the day of next hearing. Niharika approached Punjab and Haryana High Court against the ban, but court deferred the case from 6 to 11 June. But on 11, the hearing was postponed for a day. On 12 June, Yuvraj’s Lawyer brought a message, which was circulated on social network, to the attention of the court. The message was used to publicise that all legal hurdles banning the release of the movie have been overcome and the movie will release on June 13. Justice Mahesh Grover took a serious note of the message and issued a notice for the contempt of the court against Niharika Sahni.

Now the next hearing will take place on July 7 in Ludhiana, whereas the contempt of court hearing will take place on July 11 in the High Court.
