For starters, it is simply amazing how we are writing a preview of a Punjabi movie exactly a couple of months after writing a story around its shoot starting in the UK. Irrespective of how imminent Punjabi movie titled 'Maa Da Ladla' is or does at the box-office, it will go down as an episode of optimum productivity among the whole team.

The trailer of Maa Da Ladla had released on the official YouTube channel of Gem Tunes Punjabi earlier this month. At the time of writing this article, it has received over 7.5 million views on the same platform.

Scheduled to hit the big screens around the world tomorrow, Maa Da Ladla will mark the second collaboration of actor-producer Neeru Bajwa with lyricist-singer-actor Tarsem Singh Jassar. Apart from the lead pair, a captivating cast of Maa Da Ladla comprises of Roopi Gill, Nirmal Rishi, Naseem Vicky, Iftikhar Thakur, Qaiser Piya, Rupinder Rupi, Sukhwinder Chahal and Swastik Bhagat.

Having worked together as writer-director in 'Main Te Bapu' earlier this year, director Uday Partap Singh and writer Jagdeep Warring will also be registering their second collaboration in Maa Da Ladla.

By the looks of the trailer, Maa Da Ladla primarily appears to be a story of a mother finding a father for her son than finding a husband for herself. A one-liner which sounds utterly serious has received quite a joyous treatment due to the presence of witty dialogues being delivered by some aforementioned notable comedians.

Therefore, there shouldn't be any doubt with respect to both the quality and quantity of jocularity in Maa Da Ladla. At 127 minutes, the movie seems to be comprising of the exact right balance (at least on paper) needed to entertain the audiences without consuming a lot of their time.

Produced by Manpreet Johal and Ashu Munish Sahni under the banners of Vehli Janta Films and Omjee Star Studios, Maa Da Ladla is yet another combined effort of these two popular production labels. Although in a different language and a completely different space, Maa Da Ladla is in store to face competition from Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' at the box-office. Clashing with Jagdeep Sidhu's 'Moh' among Punjabi movies, it is going to be the 12th theatrical clash in the Punjabi film industry this year.
