Actor-dancer Nora Fatehi has finally responded to the controversy surrounding the song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke, which was recently taken down following backlash over its lyrics and visuals.
The track, featuring Nora alongside Sanjay Dutt from the upcoming film KD: The Devil, had initially gained attention for its high-energy choreography. However, soon after its online release, it faced criticism from a section of viewers who described it as inappropriate and objectionable.
Amid growing outrage, the song was removed from YouTube, with the Government of India reportedly stepping in after widespread complaints.
Addressing the situation, Nora clarified that she does not support the controversial content and expressed relief that the track was taken down. She urged people not to circulate the video further, stating that doing so would only amplify the issue.
The actor also revealed that she was unaware of the Hindi version of the song and claimed that her consent was not taken for its use alongside her visuals. She added that neither she nor her team had approved the final output in its current form.
At the same time, Nora called out those targeting her personally during the controversy, describing such reactions as unfair. She assured fans that she and her team would be more cautious in the future regarding similar projects.
Her statement quickly gained traction online, with fans sharing mixed reactions—some backing her stance, while others questioned how the situation unfolded.
The episode has once again sparked debate around creative responsibility in the entertainment industry, particularly when it comes to music videos and their wider public impact.
