Director Simerjit Singh who last made the Bumper Success, Angrej has begun working on his next project. The film is titled ‘Nikka Zaildar’ and features Sonam Bajwa and Ammy Virk in lead roles. Ammy Virk who won the PTC Award for Best Debut has been on a roll since his debut last year in Angrej followed by a moderate Ardaas. Also he’s shooting for Director Pankaj Batra’s Bambukat.

On the other hand, Sonam Bajwa will be seen in summer’s much awaited sequel to the Blockbuster Sardaarji, Sardaarji 2 opposite Diljit Dosanjh. Rest of the cast features Binnu Dhillon, Karamjit Anmol and many others in vital roles. Director Simerjit Singh has earlier worked on films like Baaz, Daddy Cool Munde Fool and Chak Jawana. The film is produced by Patiala Motion Pictures.

According to Wikipedia, the word Zaildar means ‘Zaildar was a feudal title, and a grand jagirdar of the area, in charge of a Zail in the colonial rural administration of Punjab in British India. Each Zail was an administrative unit, extending between twenty and forty villages.’

The release date of the film has been finalised and will hit the theatres on November 11, 2016.
