Singer and music composer Vishal Mishra has announced plans to organise special concerts in Nepal and Assam, with the proceeds intended to support people affected by the ongoing flood situation.
Sharing an emotional message, Mishra said he was deeply disturbed by the situation and had decided to use his music as a means of helping those facing the crisis.
“My heart is heavy seeing what’s happening,” he said, announcing his decision to perform a concert in Nepal and another in Assam. The singer further pledged that every penny generated from the concerts would go towards flood relief and assistance for affected communities.
Mishra assured his followers that the initiative was aimed at providing support to people impacted by the floods. “I give you my word,” he wrote while sharing the announcement.
The singer is expected to reveal further details about the concerts, including dates and venues, soon. His announcement has also drawn attention to the role artists can play in supporting communities during times of natural disasters.
With the final details yet to be announced, Mishra’s proposed concerts are likely to combine live music with a fundraising effort focused on flood relief in Nepal and Assam.
