Happy Khush Ho Gaya is a romantic comedy of errors centred on Happy, a small-town Punjabi man who makes a living by helping young couples elope when their families oppose their relationships. During one such job, Happy crosses paths with Khushboo (Khush), a spirited woman who is herself trying to escape a forced marriage. A mix-up during the escape leads to Happy and Khush accidentally ending up together, triggering a chain of misunderstandings involving the police, families, and the very couples Happy once helped. As the chaos unfolds, Happy finds himself falling genuinely in love with Khush, even while trying to untangle the mess his profession has created. The film balances lighthearted humour with commentary on rigid marriage norms and parental control, ultimately steering toward the idea that love can emerge in the most unintended circumstances—and that running from decisions often forces people to confront what they truly want.
