Punjabi singer Arjan Dhillon’s highly anticipated concert in Chandigarh, scheduled for March 21 at Panjab University, has been cancelled due to concerns over overcrowding. The news has come as a disappointment to the singer's fans, who were eagerly looking forward to the event.
In a video shared by Arjan Dhillon, he explained that the concert had been called off following concerns from the administration regarding crowd management. "The administration has advised rescheduling the concert with better arrangements to ensure safety. We will announce a new date soon. I was looking forward to performing, but we will meet again soon," he said in the video.
Arjan Dhillon also shared footage on his Instagram stories, showing a massive crowd gathering at Panjab University, which led to the decision to cancel the concert. Fans were seen flocking to the venue, creating a chaotic situation.
The situation worsened when, at around 5:30 pm, the university administration closed two of the three entry gates, leaving only Gate No. 2 (on the Sector 15 side) open for access. The lack of prior notice about the gate closures and the absence of an official traffic advisory contributed to the disorganization and overcrowding.
While the concert has been cancelled, Arjan Dhillon assured fans that the event will be rescheduled, and further details will be shared soon.
