The Punjabi film industry has become one big family and all the filmmakers and actors of the industry share a very cordial relationship with their colleagues. Mostly, the Punjabi film calendar is planned in such a way that the big film releases dont overlap with each other as it affects the business of both the films. But at some times, the industry also witnesses two Punjabi films releasing on the same date or on consecutive weekends.

The most recent example is the release of two big films- Gippy Grewal’s movie Ik Sandhu Hunda Si and the Ammy Virk and Tania starrer film Sufna which has been written and directed by the ace filmmaker Jagdeep Sidhu. Earlier both the films were releasing on consecutive weekends as ‘Sufna’ has its release date fixed for the Valentine’s Day that is on 14 February 2020 and ‘Ik Sandhu Hunda Si’ was slated to release one week later, that is on 21 February 2020. But now on Jagdeep Sidhu’s request, the super talented artist- Gippy Grewal has postponed the release of his film.

Gippy Grewal has delayed the release of  Ik Sandhu Hunda Si, by one week on Jagdeep Sidhu’s request and now the film is slated to release on 28 February 2020. This delay is definitely going to help both the movies as now both the films have got a two week gap between their respective release dates. Jagdeep Sidhu and Gippy Grewal, both shared this news with their fans on their social media handles. Jagdeep Sidhu also appreciated and thanked Gippy for his sweet and understanding gesture.

Written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, ‘Sufna’ will be a romantic drama and has been made under the banner of the In House Group. Whereas, ‘Ik Sandhu Hunda Si‘ will be an action thriller and is being directed by the Yaara Ve and Rang Punjab fame director- Rakesh Mehta and is being produced by Bally Singh Kakar under the banner of Golden Bridge Films & Entertainment Pvt Ltd. The movie has been written by Jass Grewal and stars the Bollywood actress Neha Sharma as the female lead.

The audience is excited for both the films which have genres which are in complete contrast with each other. The fans are eagerly looking forward to both the films.
