Sargi, the latest Punjabi release at the Box Office this weekend has opened to low occupancies around East Punjab but given that the film surrounds a female lead and they too a rank new comer ‘Rubina Bajwa’ I feel that the collections are pretty okay. The film collected Rs. 19,68,122 in East Punjab on Day 1. 

The film is receiving mixed response from the audience, some are liking it for the freshness and some feel that they’ve seen this storyline many times before on screen. Also Jassie Gill and Babbal Rai haven’t proved to be crowd pullers in any of their films.

Last year Channo Kamli Yaar Di starring Neeru Bajwa (female lead) released at a similar time at the Box Office but it fared better than Sargi because Neeru is an established name at the Box Office.

However, we hope that the collections pick up on Day 2.
