Why Gippy-Sargun and Ammy-Sonam have already won the May 24 battle

Gippy-Sargun and Ammy-Sonam have already won: The leading actors of two colossal projects have displayed encouraging companionship.

May 2019 has it in it to go down as a historic month for the Punjabi film industry. The month will witness as many as three clashes happening, something which is infrequent in the Punjabi film industry.

The fact that Simerjit Singh’s Muklawa‘ and Karan R. Guliani’s Chandigarh Amritsar Chandigarh‘ are releasing on May 24 doesn’t only call for the biggest clash in May but arguably the biggest clash of the year in Punjab.

In the general run of things, none of the names involved prefer to talk about the other movie for any kind of dialogue might lead to promoting the same. In some cases, there are even attempts made to demean the other project in a bid to gain undue advantage even before the release date.

However, what social media platform in Instagram and Twitter have witnessed in the last few days speaks highly about the prevailing camaraderie among leading actors in the Punjabi film industry. Each one of Gippy Grewal, Sargun Mehta, Sonam Bajwa and Ammy Virk have been vocal about both the movies.

The sight of each one of them eulogizing about their competition rules out any sort of insecurity among them with respect to their movie. The same was highlighted after Chandigarh Amritsar Chandigarh’s trailer had released yesterday.

It all started after Virk retweeted and commented on the trailer of Gippy and Sargun-starer Chandigarh Amritsar Chandigarh. Virk’s tweet was then quoted by Grewal who laid emphasis on entertaining the audiences together on May 24.

Earlier, Mehta had uploaded a video of herself dancing on Muklawa’s first song titled Kala Suit‘.

Irrespective of how both the movies perform at the box-office, these A-list actors supporting each other should be a welcoming gesture for the industry. In what is an embodiment for the others to follow, here is hoping that both the movies do well both critically and commercially.
