Diljit Dosanjh starrer Ambarsariya opened to packed houses on Day 1 in Punjab as well as other parts of the country where the film was released. The film has got mixed reviews but the audience are loving the film completely and are going in large numbers to watch the film. The film has collected around Rs. 2.10 Crores in All India with East Punjab (obviously) being the highest. The film missed the Day 1 record of Sardaarji by a touching margin. Had Dawn of Justice and Rocky Handsome not released alongside Ambarsariya, the film would have surely crossed the record of Sardaarji.

The problem arose with the No. of shows being less than last summer’s Sardaarji which was a solo release at the box office. Otherwise, we would have seen a new record total being posted. Also Punjabi Mania predicted the total of East Punjab in between 1.6-1.8 Crores and the film has finished exactly on Rs 1.6 Crores on Day 1 in East Punjab.
