Gippy Grewal converts laudable web-series into movie: The Punjabi superstar has surprised the fans with a significant development.
“Yes, it’s a web-series,” read the official poster when Punjabi superstar Gippy Grewal had announced maiden web-series titled ‘Warning’ under his home production of Humble Motion Pictures.
The aforementioned line was perhaps written on the poster to remove confusion, if any, regarding the format of Warning for the Punjabi film industry isn’t too familiar with the concept of a web-series. That being said, the format of Warning is all set to change now.
Announced in August last year, the first episode of the web-series was uploaded on the official YouTube channel of Humble Music on January 28.
Writer-turned-actor-turned-director Prince Kanwaljit Singh playing the character of Pamma was arguably seen in his his best-ever work till date. The 23 minutes and 34 second-long episode was enough for the fans to burn with curiosity with respect to the web-series and its subsequent episodes.

Grewal, who has written and and produced Warning, didn’t get carried away with the outright approbation received by the first episode. After a 43-day gap, Grewal has made public the second episode just over an hour ago.
A significant development in the fortune of the web-series will see it being converted into a feature film. Punjabi Mania understands that the second episode will be the last episode of the series and that the rest of the story will release in the form of a movie.
Grewal, a trailblazing name that he is, appears to have made the “surprising” decision on the back of observing the response to the web-series. Punjabi Mania also learns that Warning will hit the silver screens on June 19 this year.
Given the craze regarding the same in addition to the movie scheduled to release in the affluent summer season, one expects Warning to register handsome numbers at the box-office.
While actor Dheeraj Kumar was roped in in a titular role in the second episode, the likes of Mahabir Bhullar, Ashish Duggal and Honey Mattu are also pivotal parts of Warning which has been directed by Amar Hundal.
