The very loved singer and actor of the Punjabi entertainment industry - Tarsem Jassar was last seen on the silver screen in March 2019 playing the lead in the National Award Winner Rabb Da Radio 2. The fans have been missing the star on the big screen and after a long wait there is a good news for Jassar's fans.

Tarsem Jassar recently took it to his social media to share the news of his dream project. The title of the movie is Mastaney. The film will hit the screens on July 1, 2022. Jassar posted the first poster of the film on his Instagram. 

'Mastaney' is a history based period drama. It has been written and is being directed by Sharan Art, who has worked with Jassar in Rabb Da Radio 2 and the yet to be released upcoming film Galwakdi also starring Awamiqa Gabbi. 'Mastaney' will mark the duo's third collaboration. 

Produced under the banners of Vehli Janta Films, Omjee Star Studios and Fateh Films, the movie is being bankrolled by Manpreet Johal, Ashu Munish Sahni and Gurwinder Singh Dhillon. Details about the complete starcast of the film have not been revealed yet. 

The film will be the depiction of an epic tale of lionhearted warriors from the rise of Sikh empire. The movie will be based on the glorious Sikh history and will give an insight into those golden days. The team  of Mastaney has been working on this project from the last three years and this film is extremely close to Tarsem Jassar's heart.

Not many details about the movie are out. The fans are very excited for this film and have very high expectations from this period drama. The team is confident to fulfill the audiences' expectations and set an even higher benchmark for period movies.
